GUWAHATI: Binanda Kumar Saikia, MLA from Sipajhar constituency in Assam’s Darrang district met with a road accident at Changsari in Kamrup district on Tuesday night.
The incident took place when a dumper hit his car bearing registration number AS -01EJ-0777 at Changsari. Saikia was on his way to Guwahati from Sipajhar.
The legislator reportedly received injuries on head and knee. Saikia was immediately taken to Narayana Hospital. He is now out of danger and has been discharged from the hospital.
The guards of the MLA were also injured in the accident.
