GUWAHATI: The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black edition has been launched at a price of Rs 2.49 lakh (on-road). The limited-edition motorcycle is up for sale on the company’s official website. There is limited stock available and the motorcycle will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The Classic 500 Tribute Black edition looks very similar to the standard variant. However, as it is a limited edition model, it comes with a couple of cosmetic changes.
The motorcycle is powered by a 499cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 27.2bhp at 5,250rpm and 41.3Nm peak torque at 4000rpm.
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black edition comes with a 5-speed gearbox equipped with front and rear disk brakes, along with dual-channel ABS.
Royal Enfield is discontinuing its range of 500cc motorcycles. It includes 500 cc models of the Thunderbird, Classic and Bullet lineups. The reason for this is the high cost of upgrading the engines to meet the new emission norms. Classic 500 Tribute Black will be the last 500 cc bikes that the company will sell before closing.
