Gujarat students build hybrid motorcycle that runs on petrol and battery

PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI: A group of students from the VVP Engineering College in Rajkot have developed a hybrid motorcycle that can run on both petrol and battery.

The motorcycle is equipped with four batteries and can run for 40 kilometres with one charge.

Also, the rider has the option of using either to run the motorcycle on battery or petrol just by switching the modes.

“The main reason for developing this is that Fuel prices are skyrocketing. There are many issues with e-vehicles like a high price, slow charging, etc. So we thought of a vehicle that can run on both,” Dr. Maniar, Dean, Mechanical Department said.
