GUWAHATI: With the detection of COVID-19 patients, three more areas in Guwahati have been declared as containment zones by the Kamrup (Metro) district administration. Kamrup (Metro) deputy commissioner Biswajit Pegu declared Sankar Nagar, Lalganesh, Athgaon-II and Dhirenpara as containment zones through separate orders.
Boundary of the containment zones:
Sankar Nagar, Lalganesh:
North: Sankar Nagar Byelane-7
South: Ramnagar Road
East: Residence of Kalyan Paul
West: Vacant plot of land
Athgaon-II:
North: Apna Trunk Factory Godown
South: Complex of Johar Flour
East: S. J. Road
West: Pancharatna Apartment
Dhirenpara:
North: Kulu Basumatary Road
South: Das Industry
East: Dr. Rahman’s Residence & others
West: Late Tarun Boro’s Plot of Land
Any unauthorised entry and exit unto the notified containment zones have been barred till the areas are declared safe as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
