Guwahati: The price of petrol has finally hit a century in Guwahati. Starting today, petrol price stands at Rs 100.78 per litre, while diesel will cost Rs 86.79.
It may be mentioned that it is on the 9th consecutive day that the fuel prices have shot up once again, much to the dismay of the commuters.
The price of petrol has increased by 89 paise while diesel has increased by 85 paise.
Of all the areas, petrol price is the highest in Dhakuakhana with a litre of petrol costing Rs 104.10.
Fuel prices are up across the country, and prices differ from state to state based on the level of municipal taxation.
Meanwhile, the Congress has announced a three-phased campaign against price hikes as ‘Mehngai-mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,’ in which it would hold rallies and marches across the country from March 31 to April 7.
