GUWAHATI: All the private schools in Assam have to collect the 50 per cent of fees from students for the month of April, said Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati Sarma said that no private schools will be allowed to cut the salary of teachers and employees. On the other hand, schools will not be allowed to increase the fees without the prior approval of the government as the most of the people in the state are facing difficult times amid COVID-19 lockdown. He also stated that the government will take actions against the school authorities if they are found violating the order.
