GUWAHATI: Silchar Bureau Chief of News Live Pijush Kanti Das passed away at Excelcare Hospital in Guwahati on Wednesday. Das was suffering from kidney-related ailments. He was 56 at the time of his demise. He left behind his wife and a 17-year-old daughter.
The veteran journalist from Barak Valley was associated with News Live since its inception. The entire News Live family has offered its deepest condolences to Pijush Das’ family following his unexpected and untimely demise and prayed for the eternal peace to his departed soul. `
Guwahati Press Club president Manoj Kumar Nath and secretary Sanjoy Roy also condoled the death of the senior journalist.
