GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Kamalabari and Garamur police stations in Majuli on Thursday. The buildings have been constructed under the MOITRI scheme of the government of Assam.
Sonowal also inaugurated a police guest house at Garamur.
“With MOITRI, Govt of Assam has strived to provide good & transparent governance to the people by equipping police stations in Assam with state-of-the-art infra,” the chief minister said in a tweet.
He expressed hope that the police stations would will play an integral role in augmenting the capabilities of Assam Police while enhancing public-police relations in the river island district.
