GUWAHATI: In a gruesome incident, a man brutally killed his wife and three daughters at Silghat in Kaliabor under middle Assam’s Nagaon district.
The man identified as Jayanta Kumar Barman killed his wife Baijayanti Barman and daughters Nikita Barman, Bhaswati Barman and Nibedita Barman when they were asleep in the wee hours. It has been suspected that he used some sharp weapons in killing the four.
The man immediately fled from the scene after committing the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, police arrived on the spot and started investigation to nab the assailant.
“We have come to know that he has a huge amount of debts. Investigation is going on. We can’t say anymore right now,” said a senior police official.
