GUWAHATI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati has ranked 6th in overall India Category in the Academic sector of Nature Index Annual Rankings 2019-20.
According to the Nature Index Annual Rankings subject-wise survey, IIT Guwahati ranked 5th in chemistry, 7th in Physical Science, 9th in Life Science among other institutes of India.
In the worldwide category, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati ranked 350th.
It is to be mentioned that the Nature Index 2020 Annual Tables highlight the institutions and countries that dominated high quality research in the natural sciences in 2019 as tracked by Nature Index. This supplement features not only the Nature Index Global Top 50 institutions across all sectors, but also the Top 25 Rising Stars – the institutions that had the strongest growth in output since 2015. The rankings are based on an institution’s or country’s share of articles published in the 82 prestigious scientific journals selected by an independent panel of experts and tracked by the Nature Index database.
