GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a COVID-19 testing laboratory at the Department of Molecular Biology of Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Guwahati on Thursday. The Krishna Diagnostic Laboratory is the 16th laboratory in Assam to test COVID-19.
“The lab has been set up in a private-public partnership. It has the capability to conduct 4 thousand tests per day. I hope it will boost our testing abilities,” Dr. sarma said after inaugurating the laboratory.
He stated that the government has been looking forward to set up another laboratory at Sonapur Civil Hospital with public-private model.
