GUWAHATI: Assam has been receiving incessant rainfall since Monday. Various parts of the state along with capital city Guwahati have been lashed by heavy rains on Tuesday too.
According to a report of weather.com, isolated extremely heavy falls are on the cards for Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya today and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today and tomorrow.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim have been placed under a red warning (‘take action’ for protection against rough weather), whereas Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh have been retained in the orange alert by India Meteorological Department (IMD).
