GUWAHATI: A wild elephant went astray near Satgaon army camp into the Ambari area in Satgaon of Guwahati on Friday morning and roamed on the busy road.
As per reports, the wild elephant had come down in search of food from the nearby Amchang Wildlife. As it is a regular routine for wild elephants to come out from the forest the local people offered it food.
A large crowd gathered to see the animal, as he made way between cars, plodding quietly in the middle of the road. The wild elephant has not done any damage.
Meanwhile, the forest department and Satgaon Police have been informed about the incident.
