As the third phase of Lok Sabha elections approaches, entrepreneur and wife of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mrs Riniki Bhuyan Sharma continued her campaign in the Guwahati seat on Saturday.
Riniki Bhuyan Sharma today attended as many as eight election rallies while drumming up support for BJP candidate Bijuli Kalita Medhi.
Bijuli Kalita Medhi is a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), contesting for the Guwahati Parliamentary constituency in Assam for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Election.
At present, she serves as the Vice President of BJP for Assam Pradesh and has previously served as the President of the Mohila Morcha, BJP Assam.
Bijuli Kalita Medhi, a significant personality in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Guwahati, Assam, became a member of the party in 2013. Her political career took a significant turn that year when she decided to run in the GMC council elections from ward number 23.
Medhi has earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy, from Gauhati university in 2002.
She has not been convicted of any criminal offense, nor does she have any pending criminal cases against her.
According to the affidavit, Bijuli Kalita Medhi has reported that her movable assets amount to Rs. 18,22,233.
In the affidavit, Bijuli Kalita Medhi has stated that the value of her immovable assets is NIL.
