Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board (Guwahati Jal Board) has been
conferred with the prestigious award in innovation by the center for innovation in public systems
of the Administrative Staff Collage of India, Hyderabad.
The Award was conferred upon Guwahati Jal Board for its e-governance/IT initiative “Web Based
Water Supply Connection Registration & Payment System” which was selected from a panel of
entries through presentations and expert committee evaluation on behalf of the Administrative
Staff College of India.
It may also be put on record that Guwahati Jal Board was also conferred with the “SKOCH Award”
recently for the same initiative.
The IT/ e-governance push from Guwahati Jal Board is designed to make the end consumers experience paperless and completely digitized.
