Guwahati: India Mega Trade show to be kicked off from Nov 3 to November 21

PUBLISHED:

From the 3rd to the 21st of November 2023, the vibrant state of Assam is all set to host the remarkable India Mega Trade Show – Uniting Northeast with the world at the iconic Ganesh Mandir Indoor Stadium Ground in Khanapara, Guwahati.

This groundbreaking event is dedicated to realising the vision of our esteemed Prime Minister,
Narendra Modi, for AtmaNirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India). We are also fortunate to have
unwavering support from our dynamic Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. During this
grand exhibition, a special seminar centred on the Atma Nirbhar Bharat theme will be
conducted; the seminar will be expertly hosted by a distinguished personality well-versed in
the subject.

In close collaboration with various departments of the Govt of Assam, the Guwahati
Municipal Corporation, the State Bank of India, the Office of the Assistant High Commission
Bangladesh in Guwahati, NEDFi, and the TRIFED Ministry of Tribal Affairs GOI, the India Mega
Trade Show promises to be a truly unique platform for local entrepreneurs and Small Scale
Industries to interact and collaborate with foreign exhibitors. 15% of total stalls are offered to
the state’s SSI Units at a 50% rental subsidy to showcase and market their products.

State Bank of India & NEDFI have come out to encourage our efforts by sponsoring the
exhibition.

Leveraging the expertise of seasoned event planners and in commemoration of the Year of
Tourism Exchange between India and Japan in 2023, we are presenting this event with a
captivating Japanese theme.

This 19-day extravaganza will include several exciting events, including a unique Drug-Free
Youth-themed Quiz presented by the renowned Quizmaster Bhirgu with cash prizes for
winners, a Cooking contest to be judged by Vikas Verma, the Radisson Blu hotel chef, and
supported by Purabi Diary, Sreejha, & Ms Mayuri Baruah and her team. Additionally, there will
be cultural performances every weekend evening featuring songs by Dr Bhupen Hazarika
and others, Satboni Dance, Bihu dance by Mahila Dol, and fashion shows for kids, mothers,
and teenagers. A singing competition will be held to celebrate Zubeen Garg’s birthday on
the 18th of November. Reetu Gogoi & Mayuri Baruah both renowned anchors and social
media influencers will guide the cultural events.

For the first time, exclusive Kashmiri dishes, including Kashmiri Kehwa, will be available
alongside delectable foods from the “Paradise on Earth,” as well as a variety of Indian
cuisines. A Booza Turkish Ice Cream parlour will be set up to delight kids and the young at
heart. The Guwahati Foodie, the most popular social media platform, is our online partner.

Under one roof, we are thrilled to welcome participants from Afghanistan, Thailand, and, for
the first time, Kiam Metal Industries showcasing home appliances from Bangladesh.

Joining them will be exhibitors from various corners of India, culminating in an experience
reminiscent of a massive shopping mall. Visitors can expect a diverse array of offerings,
encompassing household items, cutting-edge electronics, delectable foods, exquisite home
decor, premium dry fruits, fine jewellery, and the traditional elegance of Mekhela Chador.

The India Mega Trade Show is organised by Bhajoy Adventure, a startup comprising young, dynamic, and dedicated individuals working towards the upliftment of SI units through their CSR program since the COVID-19 pandemic. Rajneesh Das, the Business Head and organiser, stated that they have joined hands with Bor som, a socio-voluntary organisation made up entirely of female members, which has been organising bihu exhibitions since 2013.

In a gesture of inclusivity and accessibility, the organisers have decided to make the fair
completely free for all to visit.
