GUWAHATI: Property worth rupees several lakhs including a house were reduced to ashes in a devastating fire that took place at Lichubagan in Guwahati on Monday night. The fire took place at a house where nine families lived as tenants.
“We don’t know how the fire took place.We were nine families here. Everything has been gutted,” said a woman.
“No one was hurt. The fire was devastating, but somehow we survived,” said another resident.
The reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
