Guwahati: Go Air on Tuesday started daily direct flights between Guwahati and Aizawl.
On Tuesday morning the flight departed around 6:30 am from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati with 136 passengers to Aizawal.
The daily direct flight from Guwahati airport was inaugurated by Sanjeev Jindal Regional, Executive Director, AAI-NER.
Go Air launched the G8- 249 on the Aizawl-Guwahati sector; and on its arrival at Lengpui Airport, it was accorded the water cannon salute by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The flight was flagged off by Chief Minister of Mizoram Zoramthanga at Lengpui Airport on its return.
This direct flight between Guwahati and Aizawl will be a big relief for the working individuals, visitors, patients, students of Mizoram and the north-eastern region.
It will also help to enhance the tourism sector in Mizoram.
