GUWAHATI: Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is in Bongaigaon to take stock of the COVID-19 situation in the district which has been classified as orange zone. Dr. Sarma has been visiting the containment zones of the district.Sarma is being accompanied by minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazaika.
Minister Sarma will hold discussion with district administration and health department. Bongaigaon deputy commissioner (DC) Dr. MS lakshmipriya has been apprising the efforts of the district administration to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
So far, Bongaigaon has reported total 5 COVID-19 cases.
