GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday ordered the power department to deduct the salaries of the government employees to recover the pending electricity bills.
CM instructed the department at a meeting with three power companies — APDCL, AEGCL, and APGCL in the presence of power minister Bimal Bora.
“Recover power dues of Govt employees through deduction of pay by respective DDOs,” stated chief minister office (CMO) in a tweet.

The salary will be deducted directly by the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).
On the other hand, the chief minister also asked the government departments to pay the pending bills to the APDCL.
