GUWAHATI: The first batch of COVID-19 vaccines for Assam and Meghalaya has arrived in Guwahati on Tuesday evening.
According to sources, the flight carrying the vaccine consignment from Pune, weighing 732 kilograms, landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport around 5 pm in the evening.
The vaccines will be shifted to the cold storage set up adjacent to the Airport.
The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination will start across the country on January 16.
