GUWAHATI: The restrictions of containment zone have been lifted from Athgaon mosque and Kabarsthan in Guwahati as no new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the area since it was declared as a containment zone.
A notice issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M) states, “Following the instructions contained in the COVID-19 guidelines on Containment Zones issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the CONTAINMENT ZONE declared covering the area of Athgaon Mosque and Athgaon Kabarsthan, is hereby withdrawn w.e.f.today, l.e. 8 May 2020.“
