GUWAHATI: Several top echelons of various Gorkha organisations of Assam joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today at a joining function at PWD Convention and Training Centre in Guwahati.
All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union president Prem Tamang along with executive president Krishna Bhujel, organising secretary Sanjib Khadka Chetry and popular singer Tilak Newar joined BJP in the presence of Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass.
The newly joined members were given warm welcome by the top BJP leaders and workers of the party.
