GUWAHATI: Saruj Sarma, another accused in the Assam Police sub-inspector (SI) recruitment scam was arrested from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. The accused who was on run has been arrested based on the confessions of former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Prasanta Kumar Dutta, the prime accused in the case.
Saruj was associated with the Akshay Telecommunication, a company which got the sub-contract for conducting SI recruitment scam. The company was allegedly involved in the question paper leak case. Its office at Bongaigaon was sealed by the police.
