GUWAHATI: The newly constructed flyover at Ganeshguri in Guwahati will be inaugurated on the day of Durga Puja Shashthi (October 22) as a puja gift to the citizens of the city. Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the flyover which has been completed within 19 months. The estimated time for the completion of the project was 36 months.
Assam health, finance, education and public works department (PWD) minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Guwahati development department minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya will be present at the inaugural function.
The 425.50 metre-long flyover has been constructed with a cost of Rs. 58.78 crore from SOPD (State-Owned Priority Development) fund 2019-20. CM Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone of the flyover on March 6, 2019.
