Guwahati: In order to make Guwahati- a smart city, the department of Housing and Urban Affairs decides to invest up to Rs 100 crore to light up the entire city.
Assam State Minister for Minister for the Department of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal announced the news through his official Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Taking to his Twitter Singhal said, “Moving another step towards the grand vision of HCM @himantabiswaji to make Guwahati a smart city, Dept of Housing & Urban Affairs decides to invest up to Rs 100 crore to light up the entire city. Let’s make our city bright & make it one of the best cities in the country.”

Assam State Minister for Minister for the Department of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal also said, “Builders who fail to complete the real estate projects within the committed time will face strict punishment. Instructed the Chairperson, Real Estate Regulatory Authority to identify those builders through GMC/GMDA. Also asked to resolve the complaints of individual flat buyers.”
