Assam: Education Minister discusses educational issues in BTR

GUWAHATI: Assam education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on Saturday attended a meeting at Kokrajhar to discuss various educational issues in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

Dr Pegu had a discussion with the BTC administration, All Bodo Students’ Union, Bodo Sahitya Sabha and Bodo Primary Teachers Association.

The meeting was also attended by  minister UG Brahma and BTC CEM Pramod Boro.

“Visited Bodoland Territorial Region HQ, Kokrajhar and held discussions with BTR Administration, ABSU, Bodo Sahitya Sabha and All Bodo LP Teachers Association on educational issues of the region. Cabinet colleague UG Brahma and BTC CEM Pramod Boro were also present,” tweeted education minister Pegu.

Later the minister also attended an interactive session with teachers, students and citizens at Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar.

The session deliberated on present education system and employability.

Minister UG Brahma and BTC CEM Pramod Boro were also present during the interaction.

“The Education Sector in BTC is in dire need of infrastructure and overall development. The students of today are the future of this nation. Their Education should be our topmost priority. So I am delighted to present an Interaction Session on “Present Education System and Employability“ with Cabinet Minister UG Brahma and Dr. Ranoj Pegu Ji organized by NIB and UNB Trust at Brajendra Kr. Brahma Hall, CIT Kokrajhar,” Pramod Boro stated on a Facebook post.
