GUWAHATI: The candidates across the state are aggrieved after the written test for recruitment of the sub-inspector (SI) in Assam Police had been cancelled. The test was cancelled following the leakage of question papers.
The candidates became furious after the announcement of the cancellation was made during the examination.
“All the hard works have been wasted. We have come from faraway places to appear in the exam. The exam was cancelled when we were writing,” said a candidate in Biswanath.
“We have been waiting for the recruitment since 2018. We applied in 2018. It is a farce during this pandemic time,” said another candidate.
The candidates demanded proper investigation into the anomalies.
