AGP’s Jatiya Oikya Samaroh at Bokakhat

GUWAHATI: With an eye at upcoming assembly elections in 2021, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) organised Jatiya Oikya Samaroh at Bokakhat in Golaghat district on Sunday.

Several top leaders of the AGP including president Atul Bora, working president Keshab Mahanta took part in the rally. Bora and Mahanta also took part in a bike rally brought out by the AGP workers.

Singer Kalpana Patowary who has recently joined the AGP also entertained the crowd with her musical performance.

“The massive crowd proves the strength of the AGP in the Bokakhat constituency. The Congress ruled Assam for a long period of time. Congress representatives were elected from this constituency also. But, when we travelled the nook and corner of the constituency in 2016, we could feel the grievances of the people. So, we have identified the fundamental issues of the public and are trying to solve most of them,” Atul Bora said in his speech.

He highlighted various developmental schemes, the State government has undertaken for Bokakhat.
