GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association has announced refund of the tickets for the abandoned T20 international between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The match was abandoned due to a heavy spell of rain. Damp patches on the pitch at the ACA Stadium at Barsapara, Guwahati, forced the on-field umpires to abandon the match without a ball being bowled.
Talking to News Live, Assam Cricket Association Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed, “Those who purchased the tickets from ‘BookMyShow’, they don’t need to worry. Their money will be refunded to their accounts within 7-8 days. There will be no deduction, we will refund the full amount.”
“Spectators who purchased tickets offline from our district associations, will be able to get the refund by producing the tickets to us. We will notify further details soon,” Saikia added.
