GUWAHATI: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Assam is likely to file the charge sheet in the Assam Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment scam case that had rocked the state.
The CID has already arrested all the key accused and completed the investigation into the case. The investigating agency is likely to file the charge sheet before a special court in Guwahati today.
On September 20, the question paper for the written examination of Assam Police sub-inspector posts got leaked and the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) cancelled the test minutes after it had commenced across the state.
“In total 58 people have been arrested by CID and the police of different districts for their alleged role in the case,” an official told media persons at a press conference in November.
The arrested included several high profile officials including Assam Police Service (APS) officer Kumar Sanjit Krishna, former cop PK Dutta and expelled BJP leader Diban Deka.
