Guwahati: Despite her old age, an eighty-year old woman from Guwahati has become a source of inspiration for all the COVID-19 patients by defeating the virus.
Anima Boro, an octogenarian who was infected with COVID-19 has emerged victorious in her fight against the disease. She was critically ill during her hospitalisation at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). But the old woman had showed extra-ordinary strength and positivity and subsequently tested negative for COVID-19.
She was discharged from GMCH on Friday.
“The care and treatment was really good. The behaviour of the staff was so nice which helped me in my recovery,” Boro said after her discharge from the hospital.
The video of the moment when she left the hospital with a smiling face was shared by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.
Earlier on Thursday, another 93-year old woman was discharged from GMCH following her victory against COVID-19.
