GUWAHATI: A 93-year-old woman from Assam’s capital city Guwahati has become a source of inspiration for all the COVID-19 patients as she emerged victorious against the virus.
Jibini Devi Baid, a nonagenarian defeated COVID-19 despite her old age. She was discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Thursday.
Appreciating the strength and triumph of the woman, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on Twitter, “At times, we get opportunity to smile amid adversity too! Guwahati’s 93-yr-old Mrs Jibini Devi Baid was discharged from GMCH after having firmly defeated #coronavirus. An incredible story also of competence of our doctors who handled this delicate case with finest precision.”
