GUWAHATI: Though all the groups of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) laid down their arms before signing the Bodo Peace Accord, Kokrajhar MP Naba Kumar Sarania alleged that many people in Bodo dominated areas had possessed illegal arms.
“Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) surrendered their arms before BTC accord. All the four factions of NDFB also laid down their arms to sign BTR agreement. But many leaders in BTR have illegal arms. Many former rebel leaders are concealing their arms at homes,” alleged Sarania at Gossaigaon on Thursday.
Kokrajhar MP Sarania alleged that former BLT leader Hagrama Mohilary surrendered with 1500 BLT cadres, but they handed over only 60 arms. He also alleged huge anomalies in the laying down of arms by the NDFB.
