GUWAHATI: Unknown miscreants looted Rs. 2.07 lakh cash from a locker of Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati on Wednesday. The thieves broke open the locker at night and decamped with the cash.
“This money was a part of their remuneration. The thieves took away the money from a locker. The investigation is going on, we have collected CCTV footage and continuing with our investigation,” said ACP (Jalukbari) Jayanta Baruah in a telephonic conversation.
“We have called the security guards and the person who brought the amount to Arya Vidyapeeth College for questioning,” said ACP Baruah.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Jalubari Police Outpost.
