GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma met union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Monday evening. It was Sarma’s first visit to Shah since the former assumed office as the chief minister.

The chief minister also met vice president M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla seeking guidance on issues related to the state.
