2019 APDCL exam cancelled, to be held again: Assam CM

PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI: The 2019 APDCL examination will be cancelled and new exam will be held again, stated Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The CM vigilance cell on Friday arrested 10 persons in connection with APDCL scam. Investigations are on and more places will be raided to nab those who are involved.

Talking to reporters Dr. Sarma said, “The candidates of the APDCL exam were in constant touch over telephone with those held. The vigilance team seized answer key and question paper from one person’s residence. Moreover, we had given the result sheet for scrutiny to Gauhati University but the agency used by APDCL and Gauhati University are same. When cross checking is required the agencies should be different. Around 278 candidates were in touch with these people. So, we have arrested them. I have suggested the APDCL board to cancel this exam and re-conduct it as the CM vigilance found incriminating documents regarding the conduct of this exam.”
