GUWAHATI: Popular singer Zubeen Garg has recalled former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi as a legend and a great human being.
“Remembering Tarun gogoi Sir.A legend a great human being an inspiration to many generations.RIP,” Zubeen wrote on his official Facebook page to pay his last respect to the veteran leader who had breathed his last on Monday evening.
Zubeen along with his friends also lit candles and earthen lamps in the memory of the popular leader.
The singer on Saturday night, visited Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to enquire about former Assam CM Gogoi’s health condition where he was undergoing treatment in a critical condition.
Zubeen advised Tarun Gogoi’s son Gaurav to play out songs for the senior leader as therapy.
Following his advice, songs of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Borgeet, speeches of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were played out through headphone for the octogenarian.
