Guwahati: It’s time to update your WhatsApp since the popular messaging application has come up with a set of new features for both Android and iOS users. With a call waiting service, a dark mode and providing users with a batter saver option, keeping yourself connected with family members and friends on WhatsApp will now be a totally new experience.
The call waiting feature allows users to receive a WhatsApp call even if they are in the middle of another call.
The new version of WhatsApp is now available for download on Google Play Store. The call waiting feature on WhatsApp is now available in version 2.19.352 of the stable Android app, as well as version 2.19.357 and version 2.19.358 of the Android beta app and version v2.19.120 for iOS, NDTV Gadgets reported.
In addition to call waiting, the new WhatsApp update also marks the wider roll out of the updated group privacy feature that allows users to decide who can add them to a WhatsApp call.
Some of the features are still under development while a few have been rolled out for Android and iOS users.
Coming to the dark mode feature, this most anticipated feature is still under development and it will be released anytime soon.
The Battery-saving option is self-explanatory and will incorporate the light and dark versions of the app. The app would sense the phone’s battery saver settings and consequently turn the app darker when your phone’s battery drops below a certain percentage.
The “Delete Message” feature will come with an on/off function and users can choose a particular time interval for the messages to automatically disappear.
