We will get 100 seats, let 26 be distributed among opposition: Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Assam  health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma once again claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get 100 seats in the assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2021.

Expressing his confidence over a clean sweep in the upcoming polls, Dr. Sarma asked other parties to distribute remaining 26 seats among themselves.

“We will get 100. Let them distribute remaining 26 seats among themselves,” said Dr. Sarma.

There are 126 seats in the Assam Legislative Assembly.

Earlier taking a dig at newly-formed Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) under the aegis of AASU and AJYCP, minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that new party would get only 700-1500 votes.
