Guwahati: Indian captain Virat Kohli on Monday (December 6) became the first cricketer to register 50 wins in international cricket in each format of the game.

Kohli achieved the milestone after India defeated New Zealand by 372 runs in the second Test match of the two-Test match series held at Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai to clinch the series 1-0.

Kohli’s 50th Test win added to his tally of 153 ODI and 59 T20I victories, making him the only player to achieve the milestone in international cricket.

Meanwhile, Team India is also back to the number 1 spot in ICC Test rankings after this win.

“Congratulations @imVkohli. The first player with 50 international wins in each format of the game,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted.
