GUWAHATI: Bipul Chandra Deb, a veteran homeopathic practitioner passed away on Saturday. Deb breathed his last at his residence at Birubari in Guwahati. He was 80.
Born on November 24, 1941, Deb did his schooling from a tea estate of Hailakandi district and later moved to Guwahati for higher education.
Besides his contribution in the field of homeopathy, Bipul Chandra Deb was also associated with various social organisations including Janasankha Samadhan Foundation (JSF).
“It is noteworthy to mention his last conversation in which he rightly mentioned about the growth of population in Assam by a section of people which might cause threat to both health and internal security of the Nation. We pray to the Almighty for taking care of this beautiful soul and grant him moksha,” said JSF Northeast India chapter chairman Sailendra Pandey in a statement.
