GUWAHATI: Bongaigaon Police on Saturday morning detained two money bag and chain snatchers from the town.
The bike rider party of Bongaigaon Police Station nabbed the two habitual offenders who were allegedly involved in several money bag and chain snatching incidents in the town. They have been identified as Nayan Chakraborty of Tulsijhara Amguri, Chirang and Rinku Routh of Haslabari Dhaligaon, Chirang.
“Being the habitual offenders, they were involved in stealing people’s sleep and peace for last couple of days particularly the morning walker ladies and girls. Now they have been brought to Bongaigaon PS for further necessary action,” police said in a statement.
