GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday donned personal protection equipment (PPE) kit to enquire about the health condition of patients at COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Witnessing the selfless service of the doctors and nurses, minister Sarma showered praises on them for their dedication and sacrifice.
“These are truly Gods in white gowns……. I salute their yeoman service towards precious human lives,” Sarma mentioned in a tweet on Sunday.
He also appealed everyone not to demotivate the COVID warriors with some pieces of misinformation. He stated that most of such rumours are politically motivated.
