Sushant Singh Rajput death: CBI summons Rhea Chakraborty for interrogation again


Guwahati: After grilling her for 10 hours yesterday (August 28), the CBI has again summoned Rhea Chakraborty today (August 29). The actress is being questioned by the CBI in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

After Sushant’s father KK Singh filed a complaint against Rhea in Patna police station on July 25, Rhea remains to be a prime suspect in Sushant’s death case. Apart from Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty was also grilled by the CBI. On Thursday (August 27), Showik was questioned for 14 hours by the investigation agency.

Sushant’s friend Siddharth Pithani, his cook Neeraj Singh and his house-help Samuel Miranda were also questioned. The CBI divided themselves into three teams to interrogate them.

Rhea left Sushant’s house on June 8. The actor was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14. The CBI asked Rhea if she was in contact with Sushant from June 8 to June 14. Rhea was also quizzed about their Europe trip in October 2019 and why she was not on good terms with the actor’s family. These apart, Rhea was questioned on several other subjects during her interrogation yesterday.

Apart from the CBI, Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also grilled Rhea in connection with the money laundering case. Sushant’s father KK Singh had accused Rhea of siphoning off Rs 15 crore from the late actor’s bank account.

Rhea Chakraborty spoke exclusively to India Today on Thursday. In the interview, she said that she isn’t scared of the CBI investigation as she is speaking the truth. She also added that she will fully cooperate with the CBI once she’s called for questioning.
