Sushant Singh Rajput death case: CBI finds inconsistencies in Siddharth Pithani and Neeraj’s statements

PUBLISHED:

Guwahati: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Today (August 23) is the third day of the CBI investigation. A reconstruction of the crime scene was carried out by the CBI on Saturday (August 22) and Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and creative content manager Siddharth Pithani was questioned. The CBI had earlier questioned the late actor’s housekeeper, Neeraj.

As per the latest developments, the CBI has found inconsistencies in statements of Neeraj and Siddharth Pithani. This is the reason that their statements are being recorded again.

According to sources, inconsistencies have been found in their statements and both of them are being repeatedly asked about the sequence of events that took place on June 13 and June 14. In the last two days, Siddharth and Neeraj have also ‘contradicted’ each other at times.

Meanwhile, Pithani is being asked questions about how he got in touch with Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty. He is also being asked about what happened on June 8, when Rhea moved out of Sushant Singh Rajput’s home.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. Siddharth Pithani and Neeraj were present there at that time. The Mumbai Police filed an Accidental Death Report on the same day and began investigating the case.

On July 25, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, filed a complaint at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police Station against Rhea Chakraborty, her family, Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi. An FIR was filed on the basis of the complaint. On July 29, Rhea moved the Supreme Court, seeking transfer of investigation to Mumbai from Bihar. On August 19, the Supreme Court allowed the CBI to take control of the investigation. A Special Investigating Team from the CBI reached Mumbai on Thursday.
