GUWAHATI: The Garchuk Police arrested a fake police officer from the Garchuk area in Guwahati on Friday night.
According to reports, the fake police officer identified as Kuljit Baishya, a resident of Azara, Dharapur was roaming around in a Royal Enfield Bullet(AS-01 EL- 7523) motorcycle on Friday night and misbehaved with an on-duty police officer. When the on-duty police office suspected him to be a fake police man, he arrested Baishya and brought him to Garchuk Police Station.
On investigating, the Garchuk Police came to know that Kuljit Baishya who was in a sub-inspector’s uniform is a student of a college in Guwahati.
Later, a case was filed under section 171/353/274(A)/419 of the Indian Penal Code at Garhchuk police station and Police investigations are underway.
