GUWAHATI: In view of COVID-19 pandemic, Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha, the largest spiritual organisation in Assam has cancelled its Dibrugarh session which was scheduled to be held from February 4 to 7 in 2021.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Sangha on Wednesday.
“Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha executive body has taken an important decision to cancel the 90th Dibrugarh session. Sessions for primary, district and regional committees have also been cancelled. Though sessions will not be held, new office bearers will be elected,” said Babul Bora, general secretary of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha.
