GUWAHATI: Manvendra Pratap Singh, deputy commissioner (DC) of Assam’s Sonitpur district tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
Earlier his wife and son were also infected with COVID-19.
As many as 64 fresh novel coronavirus cases have been reported in Sonitpur which take the count to 2,927.
So far, Assam has recorded 84,317 COVID-19 cases. 2,116 fresh positive cases were detected out of the 40,389 tests conducted on Wednesday.
