Guwahati, Dec 17: After week long disruptions to train services in Northeast, the Northeast Frontier Railway has resumed the services of 11 local passenger and intercity trains from today.
Chief Public Relations Officer of NF Railway Subhanan Chanda stated that with the gradual improvement of situation in the region, 11 local and intercity trains started their journey from today.
Earlier services of these trains were suspended to ensue safety and security of the passengers amid violent protests over the amended Citizenship Act 2019.
The trains which resumed their services from today are-15670 Dimapur – Guwahati Nagaland, 15768 alipurduar Jn – Siliguri Intercity Express, 55802 Guwahati – New Bongaigaon passenger, 55804 Guwahati – Goalpara – New Bongaigaon passenger, 12067 Guwahati –Jorhat Town Janshatabdi Express, 15816 Dekargaon – Kamakhya Express, 15769 Alipurduar Jn – Lumding Intercity Express, 15603 Guwahati – Ledo Intercity Express, 15605 Guwahati – Dibrugarh Intercity Express, 55985 Rangiya – Murkongselek passenger, 55803 New Bongaigaon – Goalpara – Guwahati passenger.
